The Candy Factory’s Dinner + Discourse series recently hosted an engaging evening themed “The Gift of Travel” with panelists Karen Loftus and Matthew Lester. The event, catered by the talented team at Grocery Lanc, combined stimulating conversation with exquisite dining.

Karen, a renowned travel writer and Adventuress in Chief at Women’s Adventure Travels, alongside Matthew Lester, an editorial photographer known for his nature and landscape work, shared their unique insights into how travel can transform lives. They discussed travel’s ability to inspire, educate, and connect, drawing from experiences ranging from bustling global cities to the serene landscapes of Lancaster County.

The evening also featured a specially curated menu by Jeff Grey and Katie Brown, the founders of Grocery Lanc. The dinner included a Mushroom & Gruyere Tart with a Seasonal Salad, Thai Chicken Curry (with a vegetarian option), and a delightful Pavlova with Passionfruit Curd and Citrus.
